Our mission is to rescue,
raise, rehabilitate and release
sick, injured and orphaned
native wildlife.
What we do
Our community of volunteers rescues injured, sick or orphaned native animals. We then raise & rehabilitate animals under our care, for release back to their natural habitat. We seek to educate people about the importance of caring for our native wildlife and offer training about rescuing & caring for native wildlife.
Wildcare is licenced (and regulated) by the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service to support over 22,000 square kilometres of south-eastern NSW. We work closely with neighbouring wildlife rescue and rehabilitation groups in NSW and with our ACT equivalent.
History
Wildcare was founded by a dedicated group of likeminded native-wildlife rescue and care volunteers, and became an incorporated association under NSW law as Wildcare Queanbeyan Inc, on 30 September 1992.
Our volunteers form one of the oldest, continuously operating, native-wildlife rescue and rehabilitation groups in New South Wales.
